Phoenix's normal Hawaii workflow separates the mainland motor-carrier leg from the ocean leg and does not assume a second local auto carrier will collect the vehicle in Hawaii. For a conventional vehicle, Phoenix generally evaluates Matson first when the route and vehicle fit its current rules, with Pasha Hawaii as an alternative when appropriate. On the Hawaii side, the default plan is for the owner/booking party—or another person specifically authorized under the ocean carrier's rules—to collect the vehicle at the terminal.

The ocean carrier determines which mainland terminal, Hawaii terminal, vehicle condition and booking process apply. That decision should be made before a separate mainland motor carrier is dispatched.
On the lower-48 side, an assigned motor carrier can often handle the land movement from the customer's origin to the selected mainland ocean terminal when the terminal's current delivery rules are satisfied. Phoenix should give that carrier the exact terminal, booking information, acceptance window and vehicle-readiness requirements rather than treating the port as an ordinary residential delivery.
A mainland land-carrier delivery does not mean the same carrier continues onto the vessel or through Hawaii. The ocean leg is a separate transportation service.
Phoenix should not automatically add a Hawaii-side auto carrier to a standard plan. The practical default is for the owner/booking party to collect the vehicle after the ocean carrier confirms availability. If another person will collect it, the selected ocean carrier's authorization process must be completed first.
Matson currently states that a person other than the legal owner or persons listed on the original booking can collect the vehicle when Matson receives the required advance email with the owner's identification, booking number and the name of the person picking up the vehicle. Provider-specific authorization controls the actual handoff.
If a customer cannot personally collect the vehicle, Phoenix can review whether an authorized representative or a separately arranged Hawaii transporter is practical. That option is shipment-specific and should not be advertised as automatic door delivery because terminal authorization, local equipment, provider rules and timing all have to align.
Pasha's current vehicle network also uses appointment-controlled facilities in Hawaii, reinforcing the need to coordinate the actual terminal handoff instead of assuming a generic residential delivery service.
Vessel arrival is not the same as vehicle availability. Wait for the ocean carrier's availability notice or tracking confirmation and verify current terminal hours before pickup. Port storage charges can begin after free time expires, so the customer or authorized pickup party should be ready once the vehicle is released.
Not by default. Phoenix normally plans for the owner/booking party or another specifically authorized person to collect the vehicle at the Hawaii terminal. A separate Hawaii-side transporter can be reviewed only when the ocean carrier and local transport arrangement allow it.
Matson currently allows another person to collect when its advance authorization process is completed. Follow Matson's current instructions for the booking.
