CURRENT-MARKET QUOTING

Why Phoenix Uses a Custom Quote Instead of an Automated Dollar Estimate

Auto transport pricing can change with exact pickup and delivery access, vehicle size and operability, open or enclosed equipment, requested dates, seasonal demand and current carrier capacity. Phoenix Auto Dispatch reviews the actual shipment details before providing the customer with a current planning quote rather than displaying an automated price that may be materially different from the live market.

CAR SHIPPING DECISION CENTER

Plan the Shipment Before You Compare the Quote

Useful auto transport planning starts with the exact route, vehicle condition and dimensions, pickup and delivery access, equipment choice and requested timing. Use the decision paths below to answer the question that matters for your shipment instead of relying on a generic rate or promise.

Car shipping cost

See the route, vehicle, equipment, access, timing and market factors that can change a current quote.

Transit-time planning

Separate carrier-search and pickup timing from over-the-road transit so the schedule is easier to plan.

Open vs. enclosed transport

Compare equipment exposure, availability and vehicle-specific protection needs before choosing a transport type.

Pickup & delivery access

Understand what door-to-door service means when a large carrier cannot safely or legally reach the exact address.

Verify a transport provider

Check legal identity, role, FMCSA records, assigned-carrier information and shipment documents before relying on a quote or handoff.

How auto transport works

Follow the shipment from quote details through carrier assignment, pickup inspection, transit and delivery.

Inoperable & special vehicles

Plan for winch needs, loading constraints, clearance, dimensions and other equipment requirements early.

Cross-country shipping

Use long-distance route, season and timing context for interstate vehicle moves.

Phoenix Auto Dispatch separates customer planning and coordination from the regulated carrier arrangement and physical transportation. See how the operating model works and how Phoenix maintains planning guidance.

Why Choose Phoenix Auto Dispatch

Compare route, vehicle, equipment, timing and carrier-assignment decisions before you book.

Dedicated Shipment Coordination

Phoenix manages customer intake and shipment coordination. Authorized brokerage partners process the regulated carrier arrangement, and an independent motor carrier performs the physical transportation.

Tailored Transport Plans

We customize each shipment based on your vehicle's specific needs, not one-size-fits-all solutions.

Carrier Coverage Verification

Carrier insurance documentation is reviewed for the assigned shipment through the brokerage/carrier-assignment process. The assigned motor carrier’s actual policy and shipment documents govern cargo coverage.

Shipment Status Updates

Receive shipment-status updates during transport. Tracking methods and update frequency depend on the assigned carrier and available tools.

Clear Quote & Booking Terms

Your quote is based on the shipment details provided. Review the booking terms and confirm any changes to vehicle, route, timing or service before dispatch.

Nationwide Service

We coordinate vehicle transport nationwide. Hawaii and some Alaska moves require different ocean, border, port or multimodal planning than ordinary lower-48 road transport.

Vehicle Shipping Options

Compare transport options based on the vehicle, route, equipment and timing requirements.

Open Transport

A common lower-cost option for standard vehicles, using open carrier equipment matched to the vehicle and route.

Open transport is commonly used for standard passenger vehicles and may offer:

  • Often lower-cost than enclosed transport for comparable routes and vehicles
  • Ability to transport multiple vehicles at once
  • Common equipment type on many major interstate lanes
  • Carrier search can be broader than enclosed equipment on many routes
  • Commonly used for everyday vehicles on both regional and long-distance routes

While your vehicle is exposed to the elements during transport, the assigned carrier documents vehicle condition at pickup and delivery and uses equipment appropriate to the vehicle.

Enclosed Transport

Enclosed transport adds shielding from weather and road debris for collector, exotic, restored, luxury or other specialty vehicles.

Enclosed transport can add protection and specialized loading options for vehicles that need them:

  • Covered transport environment that reduces exposure to weather and road debris
  • Ideal for luxury, classic, exotic, or high-value vehicles
  • Equipment and loading approach matched to the specific vehicle
  • Specialized handling and loading procedures
  • Carrier coverage varies and should be reviewed for the assigned shipment

Enclosed transport is commonly considered for collector, exotic, luxury, restored, low-clearance or other vehicles where added protection is a priority.

Military Relocation

Private vehicle-shipping coordination for PCS-related moves, additional POVs and CONUS relocation planning.

Military PCS-related private transport planning can include:

  • Planning around PCS and reporting-date timelines
  • Pickup-window planning around reporting and relocation timelines where current carrier availability permits
  • Pickup planning near installations when large-carrier access is restricted
  • Pickup and delivery access planned around installation-area and large-carrier restrictions
  • Private-shipment planning kept separate from government POV entitlement and program rules

Private PCS-related shipments are planned around the service member’s actual route, dates, access requirements and applicable government entitlement rules.

Motorcycle Transport

Motorcycle shipping coordinated around the bike, route, event schedule and carrier equipment actually available.

Motorcycle transport planning should account for bike-specific equipment and securement:

  • Carrier equipment and securement method confirmed for the specific motorcycle
  • Bike-specific loading requirements documented before carrier assignment
  • Enclosed or other weather-shielded transport can be requested when appropriate and available
  • Bike dimensions, accessories and loading requirements captured for cruisers, touring bikes, sport bikes and custom motorcycles
  • Protection and securement requirements confirmed for high-value or custom motorcycles

Motorcycle shipments are planned around the assigned carrier equipment, loading method, route and bike-specific requirements.

Oversized & Specialty Vehicles

Equipment-matched planning for RVs, dually trucks, lifted vehicles and other oversized or specialty units.

Oversized and specialty shipments require equipment matched to actual dimensions, weight, operability and loading requirements:

  • Dually trucks and oversized pickups
  • Lifted vehicles and custom builds
  • RVs and motorhomes
  • Boats on trailers
  • Construction and farm equipment
  • Other non-standard vehicles

Carrier and equipment fit are evaluated for the vehicle dimensions, route, loading requirements and available capacity.

Student Auto Transport

Vehicle shipping for students and families coordinating college move-in, move-out, internships and long-distance school travel.

Student vehicle-shipping plans may need to account for:

  • Planning around academic calendars and move-in windows
  • Pickup-window planning around academic calendars and move-in constraints
  • Campus-area handoffs planned around legal, safe large-carrier access
  • Student/parent communication and accessible campus-area handoffs
  • Customer and parent/authorized-contact communication handled through the shipment plan

Student shipments are coordinated around the actual school calendar, accessible handoff location, route and carrier availability.

Hawaii Auto Transport

Mainland-to-Hawaii vehicle-shipping coordination with land-to-port, ocean-terminal and island planning.

Hawaii vehicle shipping can require several coordinated steps:

  • Ocean-terminal requirements reviewed for the selected provider
  • Mainland land-to-port coordination based on the selected ocean terminal
  • Documentation requirements confirmed for the selected ocean carrier and terminal
  • Military PCS-related private shipments separated from official government POV entitlement workflows
  • Ocean equipment and vehicle-acceptance rules confirmed with the selected provider
  • Port and documentation coordination based on the selected ocean carrier

Hawaii shipments are planned around the selected ocean carrier’s current terminal, vehicle, documentation and scheduling requirements.

Expedited Shipping

Priority dispatch coordination for time-sensitive vehicle moves when standard scheduling flexibility is not enough.

Expedited service prioritizes carrier search and pickup planning when timing matters:

  • Priority carrier search through the applicable brokerage/carrier-assignment process
  • Tighter pickup-window planning when current capacity supports it
  • Intended for time-sensitive relocations where a tighter carrier-search plan is appropriate
  • Useful for purchases or relocations with tighter planning deadlines
  • Priority carrier search and pickup-window coordination

Expedited service can require a higher market offer and still remains subject to road distance, driver hours, weather, traffic and operating conditions.

Classic & Collector Car Transport

Collector-vehicle transport planning based on clearance, condition, equipment and delivery requirements.

Classic and collector shipments should be planned around vehicle value, clearance, condition, loading equipment and protection requirements:

  • Securement method and loading equipment confirmed with the assigned carrier for the specific vehicle
  • Operability disclosed early so appropriate winch or loading capability can be confirmed
  • Assigned carrier coverage reviewed for the specific shipment
  • Enclosed equipment options based on carrier availability and vehicle requirements
  • Clearance and loading-method planning for low or specialty vehicles
  • Show, auction and receiving deadlines incorporated into pickup and delivery planning

Collector shipments are matched to an assigned carrier whose equipment and loading plan fit the vehicle requirements.

DEALER · FLEET · RECURRING SHIPPING

Vehicle Shipping for Dealers, Fleets & Recurring Programs

Organizations moving vehicles repeatedly need a repeatable operating path, not another generic location page. Phoenix publishes separate business resources for dealer moves, fleet programs, vendor verification and procurement review so a business team can understand the coordination model before discussing a shipment-specific move.

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers about coordination, carriers, coverage and nationwide vehicle transport

Is Phoenix Auto Dispatch the motor carrier or broker?

No. Phoenix Auto Dispatch is the customer-facing coordination service operated by Phoenix Dispatch LLC. Phoenix does not operate transport trucks and does not claim its own motor-carrier or broker authority. Authorized brokerage partners process the regulated carrier arrangement, and an independent authorized motor carrier physically transports the vehicle. Learn how the roles fit together.

How is the carrier checked before assignment?

The brokerage/carrier-assignment process reviews current authority and insurance documentation, available service/profile history, equipment fit, route capability and current capacity. Customers may request assigned-carrier information before pickup. See our carrier standards.

How does cargo insurance work?

Cargo coverage belongs to the independent motor carrier physically transporting the vehicle. Limits vary. Smaller/local haulers may carry around $100,000; long-haul assignments are generally targeted at $250,000 or more; enclosed/specialty carriers may carry $500,000 or higher. The assigned carrier’s actual policy and shipment documents govern coverage. Read the shipment-protection guide.

Do all carriers provide live GPS tracking?

No. Phoenix requests shipment-location updates and, when the carrier provides GPS/live-tracking access, it can be shared with the customer. Some carriers instead provide periodic updates by phone, text or dispatch communication.

What are your support hours?

Normal customer-support hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pacific Time. After-hours assistance may be available for active shipments when needed, but Phoenix does not advertise a continuously staffed 24/7 support desk.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Phoenix’s current policy is that cancellation requests received at least 24 hours before the scheduled shipping date may qualify for a refund, subject to the written booking terms and any brokerage/carrier commitments or charges already made. Request cancellation as early as possible and keep written confirmation.

Do you offer military or student savings?

Military and student savings may be available. Eligibility and the amount are confirmed before booking because Phoenix does not currently publish one universal deposit or discount amount.
